Re: [ST] Insurance

Couple of things on this post... Not to pick on Steve here, but two things...

A 1971 Seca? Did you typo and mean '81? I have an '83 Maxim 750...
currently out of commission. My insurance on that nothing near my '95
Katana 750 and I too have State Farm. I know that my insurance would be
cheaper on a '99 VFR over a '99 ST as I called and got quotes for
both. But they don't strictly go by size of the bike... They go by year
as well. They used to go by accident history of the type of bike, but when
they switched to a flat full 12 month coverage over 9 month and 6 month
coverage, they switched to this setup. Much better for the insuree. Now I
got all that info from my agent last year.

A buddy of mine is switching to State Farm because he was with Nationwide
and the Katana that he is buying from me is on their ban list. I guess
they'll insure your bike until that type of bike is in so many accidents
and then they just won't offer insurance on it anymore... Now that just
doesn't make any sense at all to me...
