ST rear brake caliper play question

Hi folks, I have a 99 ST with appx 5000 miles, I was checking the chain last
night and noticed the rear brake caliper has a little play in it. I
understand that based on the way the caliper works, there should be a little
lateral play, but this moves along the front-rear axis. Is this normal?
