I thought I read a while back that you should do this to allow the fuel
system to fully pressurize. Sounded gooded to me. And I'm still sticking
to the suggestion that this brief buzzing behaviour is normal, even if there
are some bikes that are silent in this regard. But I'm sure I couldn't
stand it if the buzzing continued, and was noticeable, after the bike had
started -- hot, cold, at idle, or at speed. >>

Yes, they all do that, Sir. Mine stops a second or two after I switch on, and
then I can year it again for a second after the engine starts, but I do not
notice it after that.
I cured mine temporarily by filling the tank with deisel fuel-after I rinsed
it out and got the bike running again, there was no fuel pump noise for the
next 2 tankfuls of gas. Dave Collins, San Diego. PS adding two ounces of
Mystery Oil (upper cylider lubricant) to the full gas tank does not stop the
noise). DC
