[ST] Bullitt stunts (was: for your consideration)

OK. It's time for me to chime in.

Having worked in the film industry for over ten years (25 films, 2
television series and 1 pilot) I think it's safe for me to say that I
know a little about Hollywood too.

First of all it is not that uncommon for an actor to do their own
stunts. However, the riskier stunts are usually left for the
professionals. Steve McQueen was a rare breed. He did quite a lot of his
own stunts. He was en experienced rider and driver. He and Bud Ekins
became good friends and Bud taught him a lot of riding skills.

It was Bud that dropped the bike in Bullitt.
