[ST] Re: '01 ST pricing

Eric, price shouldn't be your number one priority. Find a good dealer- one
whose committed to Triumph, competent, and customer service oriented.
Especially where there are a paucity of dealers in the area. This is
important because, unlike some of the more established marquees, there is a
wide disparity in the quality of Triumph's dealer network. Most Triumph
owners have had no problems with their bikes. A small number of folks have
had minor problems, and an even smaller number have had major problems. What
seems to be crucial to being a happy Triumph owner is not whether or not you
get a bike that develops a problem, but rather, that you have a relationship
with a good shop. If a problem arises, you want a shop that will be
responsive and stand behind you. It can mean the difference between riding
your bike home the same day because they pulled the part you needed off a
showroom bike vs your bike being out of commission for half the riding
season. Or it could be the difference between a questionably owner induced
failure, being a warranty claim vs coming out of your pocket.

Find a good shop first, then negotiate price. In the long run, it could cost
you less.

Good Luck,

Daphne
