i think you just answered my problem. if they include a relay, then
that connector doesn't have to provide switched power. i thought it
would. i'm still a little confused, because they need to provide
_some_ sort of switching mechanism. perhaps the third connector is
closed to ground when the ignition is on, and not otherwise.
oh well. i've ordered a shop manual. presumably the schematic will make
this clear.
