as i recall, i had to peel back the cloth covering.  i needed more foam,
and i happened to have some soft foam rubber around -- i didn't need much.
i cut a couple of scraps to fit, and put the cloth back over the pads.  it
just sort of glues to the back, as i recall.   (thinking back, i guess
it was 6 or 7 years ago.)
