[ST] Cheap beginners/girls bikes

Re : Cheap bikes suitable for beginners or girls :

How 'bout a Kawasaki Zephyr 550 ( if these were sold in the US ? ).

I had a look at a couple of these on the weekend for my partner who hasnt ridden for 5 years & is only 5'2".
The Zephyr seems light, low seat height, easy to ride, good brakes, decent handling & at about Aus$4000 here ( $2000 US ), very affordable.

The only disadvantages are air-cooled & not a lot of midrange (well compared to an ST anyway).

But the motor is the same one as fitted to the GT550 I used for years as a courier & I think that was the most reliable bike I've ever had.
