yes -- about 1" higher.  i have what you have, plus i made another
genmar-like "shim", got a longer extension tube, and drilled, tapped,
and slotted the gen-mars to turn them into large pinch bolts, to add a
little more structure to the whole thing.  it all works fine (barely
:-).  i'll post pictures soon.

but it's interesting that your ST cable works.  mine's not even close.
it was a good couple of inches short.  i figured everyone using the ST
cable must not have risers at all.  strange.
