There is an article in today's Press Enterprise (Riverside) about a
crackdown on the 15 freeway, the main artery to Las Vegas and the high
desert from this area. In light of the flurry of fatal accidents ocer the
Mother's Day weekend, I reckon the chippies have boot prints on their asses
to write lots of tickets in the near future. I happened to get 2 of them
last month, and one of them was on the 15 in San Bernardino coming home from
Vegas. 75+ in a 65.

The seems to be an over-eager CHP working the I60 and I57 areas.  I was
stopped and ticketed friday for 75 MPH in clear traffic on the I57 just
north of the I60. (For those of you not familiar with SoCal traffic
speeds, 75 MPH is probably close to the average freeway speed)  I saw
him again monday with 2 cars pulled over.  Probably a case of revenue
enhancement (can you spell "quota").  First ticket in many years.  I'm
going to have to check the paint on my bike, the stealthy black must be
wearing thin in spots.
