I'm possibly the same. My (brand new) ST probably had a fuel leak from the 
very start which I didn't notice until I got it home (c.100 km), but the 
gauge seems OK.  Dealer fixed the leak straight away. Not sure where the 
leak was coming from? It leaked significantly more when on the side stand.
