Interesting, before I got the ST, I test rode a RS and a ST4, my
butt-o-meter said the RS had more balls than the ST4.

It was the first Twin I had ever ridden, and it was cool, and it
might have had more low end torque but it lose it a lot quicker
than the RS. Remember, my previous bikes where all inline 4's so
I know about mid and upper range torque :-)

The RS definitely felt smoother and more powerful.

Both bikes had D&D slip-ons and where tuned accordingly. The ST4
is on of the owners favorite bikes, and is in good condition as he
takes it on the track as well as long distance rides.

So a ST with the same gearing as the RS should be a better ride,
at least according to my butt-o-meter :-)
