   "The Fogarty and Ducati relationship is
   splitting because Carl will be the new team
   manager of the Sauber/Triumph World Superbike
   team, which is forming in WSC from what is left
   of the Sauber GP1 project.

   The Sauber Triumph will initially be like the VR
   1000 and the Benelli Triple-- the bike will be
   raced and enough models will be produced to be
   legal for the class, but you won't see it on the
   street any time soon, say insiders."

   Fogarty has wanted to run a team for some
   time, and there was even talk that he wanted his
   own Ducati team, but that was not in the cards
   with Ducati, who are pooling resources to build
   their GP team. When asked if the Foggy rumors
   are true, Ducati Italy sources answered "no
   comment".
