The performance chart ('hard numbers') in the back of Motorcyclist magazine
lists the '99 Sprint at 11.53 sec @ 116.3 mph in the 1/4 mile, but the best
the '00 Sprint RS that they tested was able to do was 11.76 sec. @ 110.4
mph.  For whatever reason that RS was measured as being down just over 9 HP
when compared to the Sprint ST.  I doubt if that power discrepancy is true
of current RS's as long as they are set up correctly.  I would also expect
that differences in stock final gearing betweeen these two models would
affect the 1/4 mile speed.
