Surely it is more convenient for a dialup user to just suck down the 20-40
small, text emails. Having to sit there and wade through some graphic-rich,
web based, board environment would annoy me to distraction over a dialup
link. I receive about 150 to 200 messages a day and its usually a case of
* Plug in the notebook
* Start the mail download
* Head off to make a coffee
As for the previous "threads" argument, my ST mail is foldered and sorted on
Subject so I can't see any benefit from moving to a news group. Sure, a
digest is harder to deal with but the individual message format works just
fine for threaded reading.
Just my 1.04 cents worth
(that's 2 Aussie cents at the current AUS/US exchange rate).
