A recent post (maybe on the T5 mailing list?) indicated that Triumph has
introduced a replacement part (sorry, no part number was given), which does
NOT mean that everyone can expect a replacement, even if yours is a bit
noisy.  Of course if you order and pay for a new part on your own, it sounds
like your problem may be permanently fixed.  It also sounds like you might
get the better part if you can convince your dealer/Triumph to
warranty-replace the part.  As a matter of fact I think that one of the main
reasons that Triumph would not usually honour a warranty claim on this part
was that there was no guarantee that the replacement would work any better
(just the luck of the draw).  Now that apparently the issue is resolved,
maybe Triumph's attitude toward replacement has changed a bit now too.
