According to the Triumph Importers over here, Triumph maintain a database of all
bikes sold, for warranty purposes. When the importer submitted a warranty claim
for my ST and Triumph checked the database, my bike was listed as written off.
Just in case of cross pond misunderstandings, Written off usually means that a
machine has been damaged beyond economic repair.
