[ST] Product Review

Well, now that I have it and have done some riding with it, I thought I
would share my thoughts. Finally picked up the new Joe Rocket Meteor 3.0
jacket this week and got to ride with it today. Weather has been around
mid-50's today with light breeze and partly sunny. My prior "riding"
jackets have been a Columbia winter jacket (without the liner in it) and a
light weight snap up jacket. Neither very good for riding in this weather.

Well, got the bike out and rode with the jacket and new Shoei X-SP II (which
I love more and more each time I wear it). Anyway, this jacket ROCKS!!!!
Does have a zip out liner which I had in today. Jacket is waist length with
drop back and adjustable waist. It is a nylon jacket with pads in
elbow/forearm, shoulders, and pad in back. Sleeves have 2 snaps per sleeve
to draw them in so as not to flap in the wind. Back does not ride up at all
and sleeves are plenty long and don't pull up when riding. In fact, the
jacket doesn't flap at all while riding. There are 2 front zippers: 1 for
the liner and 1 for the outer shell. And then there is a generous flap that
goes across between the 2 that does a GREAT job of keeping wind from coming
in. Actually, it does a great job from letting wind through anywhere. Just
wondering how well the venting will do in the summer. May have to get a
Phoenix jacket for the summer months around here.

Needless to say, I love the jacket. Have not seen how it will do in the
rain yet, but that is down the road, I am sure. I think it is a great
jacket for the money. Nice materials and good looking. Now I just need a
nice pair of gloves to match it. And the blue is pretty close to the
Sapphire blue of the ST.

Just thought I would share.
