[ST] Jerry Parish

Well, I finally made the call to Jerry Parish today about the problems I
have been having with my original purchasing dealership in regards to some
warranty work issues from 3 months ago. Needless to say Jerry is a great
guy. Ended up talking with him for about 30 minutes - and only about 10
minutes was about the dealership. Also had to give some good words about
the other dealership I have been using now. Then talked to him about some
of the new models. He told me about their 1000+ mile Iron Butt ride on the
new Triumph Bonneville America. He said it was a great ride and no problems
or discomfort while riding.

He also put a little pitch in for Triumph stuff. He asked me out of the
blue if I was thinking about heated grip. Kind of ironic since I just
started looking at them after my cool ride last night. Definitely going to
invest in them after words from the list and from him. Also told him I was
looking at aftermarket cans. At that point he through a pitch for the
Triumph CF can. He said both cans are pretty much the same performance
wise, but that the CF can sounds better because of the different material
and construction. He also said that he thought you would see the most gains
with that pipe since the Triumph performance tunes are created with that
exact can on the bike. So, the tune is setup to optimize with the CF can.
So, anyone find a price better than $400 for the Triumph CF can for the ST?
Jerry also said that he heard most dealerships were doing free tune upgrades
(downloads?) if the part is purchased and installed at the selling dealer.
Just what he said he was hearing.

Needless to say, I wish I would have had more time to sit there and talk
with him. Extremely nice guy!!!
