This is only on the 2001 models. When I visited CalBMW recently I got the
impression that they really wanted to move the 2001 models they had out.

Oddly enough, the only dealer I've found with a webpage on the 2002 models:

lists 11/2001 for the planned sales start.

Reasonably good price over there, $10,700 + 5% tax.

'course, you'd probably have it less than a week before some punk stole it
(for some reason the delinquent element enjoys joyriding and parting out
m/c's)
