Re: [ST] The current terrorism acts.

If this is the way that you guys feel about our foreign policy, then perhaps
we should close up our borders, keep anyone from coming in or leaving, and
tell the rest of the world to fuck off and fend for themselves. You cannot
have it both ways guys. We, the US, in the position that we are, have a
responsibility to the rest of the world. To take care of who we can and
help those who need and want our help. Not everyone gets it for one reason
or another. But those who do, we like to believe, deserve it. Mistakes are
made and sometimes the people we help do bad things. What can we do but
keep trying? If we were this huge tyrannical superpower, then we would be
setting up governments in every country in the world as we took them over.
But that's not how we operate. We help the little guy and try to get these
countries into a position were they can govern themselves and take care of
themselves. What can we do when they go bad?
As for selling arms to our ALLIES, is this wrong. Selling arms to Israel
is the same as selling arms to Canada. It's Canada's choice what they do
with those arms as it is Israel's. The Israelis fought a war to gain the
land they live in. They are defending their land. If you have a problem
with the land they claim to be theirs, then that is a whole other issue.
