Will it do this at idle, too, when the engine is fully up to
temperature? I forgot to plug the Scottoiler's vacuum tap in the idle
vacuum line once, and this was the symptom.

Easy to fix -- shorten the wire going to the cooler side. Try an inch at
a time.
