Before I got my ST, I had a Katana 750 which many folks said the ST
resembled. Didn't bother me. But Suzuki made that model almost 10 years
before they did a major redesign. My 2001 KLR650 is nearly identical to the
one I had over ten years ago, and even at that time it was an old design.

I can see the need for pure sportbikes to be on the bleeding edge and have
a new design almost every year. But for other bikes I like having some time
to sort out the current model before they go on to the next. Not to mention
what it does for resale value and parts availability, both OEM and third
party.

I think the Sprint is good enough it just needs careful refinement each
year, not a whole redesign.
