The whole problem with changing the overall look of a model is that you must
be sure it will appeal to the right market, I like many others love the look
of the new Daytona and Speed Triple but some people think the Futura is a
good looking bike and all that proves is that it is impossible to please
everyone all the time. Almost every magazine review says the new Daytona is
a better looking bike, ie more modern. If 33% of current owners don't like
new model BUT 66% of potential new owners like it then Triumph will be happy
even if they alienate a small proportion of current owners. The ST is a
different matter as it is a good seller and being a sport/tourer doesn't
need wholesale changes to keep customers happy.
