What's so cool about it, especially on the ST?  If you have the hard bags on

the supposed aesthetic merits are largely covered up by the bags and the 
silly-looking low pipe.  If the bags aren't on, I suppose it looks twice as 
good on the right...and twice as bad on the left.

Me too!  This is way more fun than reading about GPS mounts.
