[ST] Re: Riding Pants

I've been riding with the Joe Rocket "jeans" for about two years now.
They are actually black ballistic nylon overpants that are styled like a
pair of blue jeans. They have full length zippers down the sides, and
are very easy to get on and off over jeans. They are sized just like
jeans, with the extra size for going over pants already compensated for.
They are also waterproof. While they can get a bit warm on a hot day,
you can partially unzip the side zippers for ventilation. Each side has
two zippers, one going up, and one down. By unzipping the top one down
to just above the knee, and the bottom one up to just under the knee,
you are left with good ventilation, and reasonable protection, as the
pants still are covering the butt, hips, knees, and ankles. The only
drawback is that they come with no armor, so they will provide very
little impact protection in the event of a getoff. I do, however, trust
their abrasion resistance, and don't leave home without them.
