Re: [ST] gas cap paint problem



Seems quite common.  Response of my dealer was that Triumph would be
unlikely to wear a warranty claim because it could be argued that flaking
was arttributable to clumsiness whilst refueling.  Mine was flaking on
inside edge so it would have been difficult to pursue the point (me being a
lawyer and all).  However, Triumph did replace a fairing panel where the
paint had flaked off round a fastener, so if you'e peeling away from from
the inside edge (i.e., where there is little chance of contact with the
petrol pump nozzle), you might be lucky.
