I find the Canyon Dancer Bar Harness to be a GREAT tool. When I bought my
ST the fellow that helped load it advised to use a couple of turns of brown
paper or thin cardboard around each grip to eliminate the scuffing problem.
When done this way it will never give you problems. The Canyon people
should put a note in their instructions.

As for twisting the grip assembly this also is caused by incorrect
installation. The cross straps should be rotated to the bottom of the grips
putting the pad closer to or on the tank. Most people will rotate the strap
up to keep the pad off the tank but this is the wrong way to do it. As you
bounce down the road the padded strap will rotate down, putting rotation
stress on the grip assembly.

I have pulled my ST thousands of miles without a scruffed grip with the Bar
Harness.
