Keep working on it, because you can't carry a board of wood around with you,

It's not like you need a 10' plank. A small piece of anything will work. When 
it is hot I keep a small tile in my bag to put under the kick stand. Keeps it 
from sinking in the black top at work. It's just enough to make the 
difference you need.
