Lex,

I'm not so sure about that.  Last spring Triumph shipped our
dealer a crated engine to install in a Daytuna which had died
under similar circumstances (this one suffered a broken
crankshaft).  I'd insist they replace not rebuild.  It's worth a
try anyway.
