I also agree about daily would be a little too often,
but I performed this fix a couple of weeks ago and
I've not noticed any changes back to mush...I expect
it though.  If I have to do this once per month, or
quarter then I say it's worth it.  If I had to do it
every day, I'd look at getting a different set of
calipers.

BUT...to each his own.  If you want to do it, then do
it and if you dont - dont.  It took me about 1 hour to
do, but I was answering phone calls and drinking beer
with my buddy while shooting the breeze...so probably
only about 20-30 minutes of actually working on it.
