It seems that there are two options with this paint. I also had some mixed
up after a minor mishap. Anyway I uncovered two lots of paint codes. One
with a base coat, mid coat and clear like you used and another that was just
clear over base. I went with the clear over base because it was easier and
it matches perfectly. I've checked it very carefully in bright light and
there is no difference from the factory colour at all. It still has the
purple colour change effect too (due to the clear red in the paint). It cost
me about $25 Australian for 1/2 litre. Which is about $12 US and enough
paint to pretty much respray the whole bike.
