Having someone else take you out isn't much fun.  I got rear ended by a
Chevy a couple of years ago.  Seeing my bike slide down the road while doing
my best imitation of Superman was kind of cool in a sick way until I figured
out that the landing part looks easier than it is.  The accident has helped
me learn to pay more attention to my bike, the environment I'm riding in and
most importantly my own readiness to ride.  If something doesn't feel right
I bail and go home. I don't get that feeling very often, but I do pay
attention when I hear it.


It could have been much worse, you could have been in a casino. What
good PR that was for motorcyclists.

I was in a casino this weekend, though it was in Las Vegas.  The
Guggenheim's Art of the Motorcycle show helps offset some of the stupidity.
