ST's had no strap. RS's had straps. Why? Don't know.

Greetings

I have a dumb question.  I have a 02 ST.  I had it for about a month and had
the dealer install a color matched seat cowl.  Yesterday I removed the seat
cowl to do some two up riding and I noticed the seat doesn't have a
passenger
holding strap.  My dealer is very careful about giving me all the parts, and
when I called him and advised him that there was no strap, he said he would
order one.  Here's the dumb question:  Did the 02 St's come with these
straps
or not?  I've seen some photos with straps and some without.  Help.  Thanks,
