G'day All,
Just got back from a trip to the dealers to get the ST checked
over/tuned etc. For the 500kms down the bike returned around 45 mpg, i was
travelling at a steadyish 120kms (70mph), compared to other listers this
seems mediocre. The dealer had the bike all day, fitted new fork seals
loaded tune #14, synch the throttles etc, unfortunately i couldn't get a
Triumph can in time so that'll have to wait. Anyways, on the way home the
bike has been returning almost 60mpg WOW!!!!! and the motor seems to be
running a little smoother. Mongrel bloody fuel guage is next to useless
though, after using just 9 ltrs the guage showed empty and the light came
on, i think i'll pop it out and put somthing usefull in its place!! While i
was there the dealer mentioned that if i fill the bike on the centre stand
instead of the side stand it'll take an extra 1.5 ltrs.....that worked too.
Also had a look at the new Daytona, when i grow up i'm buying one of those,
has anyone test ridden one? What are your thoughts?
Regards
Bill Wilkin
