RE: [ST] Changing the chain & sprockets...

Alex,

Find a NAPA auto parts store and just ask the guy at the counter. I bought a
36mm over the counter as an "in-stock" item about 3 weeks ago. As far as the
Std equivalent the math is

1 inch = 25.4mm

1/16 inch == 0.0625 inches

36/25.4 = 1.4173

7 * 0.0625 == .4375

So a 1 7/16 would be a smidge too big but probably would work OK

Does anyone remember please what was the Standard socket that is equivalent
to 36mm for the front sprocket? 36mm sockets are like rocking horse
droppings in this part of the world....

To change the rear sprocket, do you HAVE to remove the wheel, or will the
sprocket come off after removing the bolts which apparently hold it on? My
manual assumes that I want to rip the thing apart completely, which isn't
the case.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Alex
