Re: [ST] Improvements for Sprint ST

I talked to some of the Triumph bigwigs including the COO of Triumph last 
Sunday at the Motorcycle Show here in Seattle and mentioned some of the 
suggestions brought up on this thread, and the pushback I got was:

1. Yes, there are factory people who monitor some of the owner lists, but 
they will never let on that they do, and there was no mention of which lists 
they lurk.

2. The best thing for us to do re: product improvements would be to email 
Triumph directly via their website. It carries more weight coming from us 
directly.

3. Emails for product suggestions will be better received in the form of 
"I'm a happy Sprint owner, and here's some ideas for future models I hope 
you'd consider" rather than "you guys suck if you don't do these changes".

4. They figure that they get a run of about 5 years out of each model, so 
they'll probably only do tweaks over that time, and save major changes for 
new models.  I mentioned to one exec that this is the fourth year of Sprint 
production, but got no reply when I asked what was coming next.

5. It's better to keep asking for a feature than give up on it.  It may be 
that they can't squeak it in this time around, but may later down the road.
