Subject: Overall improvements of ST and other models

Hello all:
The fire at the Triumph Factory didn't have very much influence on
the continuing design of bikes. The fire affected production areas, not the
design department. The company stated that the design process would continue
as normal.

- ------------

I suppose I should have been more clear in the first place...

I know the fire affected production areas, and I'm sure R&D is continuing,
but I would be surprised if the fire didn't negatively affect the ability to
implement and roll out some new designs that may have been in the works.

I also accept what another lister said about Triumph wanting to get 5 years
out of a model during which only minor tweaks are made. That being said, I
would be disappointed if they didn't take steps to further refine the ST
within a couple of years. After 11 months and a little over 10k miles,
barring the unforseen, I figure I'll keep my ST for at least another 3-4
years. With the directions the Sport Touring bike market is going, I'm
excited to see what is going to be available at that time. I'm not dead set
on another ST, but based on my current experience, it will be on my short
list when the time comes.
