[ST] Tyre diameter and ride height

After my earlier post about Avon Azaro II tyres I was intrigued by Erik
Miner's comments:
<< the Avons are a different diameter than the stock tires >>
so I looked at the Avon web site.
The AV35 120/70 has an overall diameter of 606mm and
AV36 180/55 has OD of 635mm.

The Bridgestone site lists 8 variations of the BT57 120/70ZR17, the main
differences being OD ranging from 599 mm to 605 mm, TW (tread width) 114-118
mm and weight 4.09-4.54 kg.
and 5 variations of BT57 180/55ZR17, OD 627-631 mm, TW 175-186 mm, weight
6.00-6.44 kg.
The ST stock BT57's are front: code 75130 with OD 599 mm and rear - code
75132 with OD 627 mm.

So, going from worn BT57's to larger diameter, full tread depth, new
(stiffer?) AV35/36 it wasn't my imagination that it was more of a stretch to
get my feet down - those few mm make a big difference when you're on tiptoe.

If you get new BT57's how do know which of the several variations you're
getting? Does it matter?

BTW Bridgestone repeatedly show the ST and RS as 695cc.
