Sean,
When I bought my ST (used)it had a set of soft panniers on it. I had the
money saved for the hard luggage but though I would try the soft luggage for
a while. I like the soft luggage so much now I an no longer thinking about
the hard luggage. Without expanding the soft luggage I cram a set of
leathers, a electric vest, sweatshirt, 2 pairs of gloves, tools and bungie
cords into them and I still have room.
Also as a side note, about 1 week after getting my ST in ran into a low
speed (1 mph) Gravity storm and the only thing scratched was the Triumph
Can. If I had had hard luggage on board I would still be crying. I also have
a Triumph tank bag which I rode with for a while and then removed and I like
the looks better without the tank bag. I think I may buy a RKA rearseat bag
if I need to haul extra stuff.
