Sometimes the email program you use at home vs. the office can affect
whether you can send email or not.  I have earthlink at home (dialup), but
at the office I'm on a T1.  I'm not able to send an email from the office
using earthlink and outlook express, but can receive.  The earthlink mail
server will not allow access from an outside server or different ISP.  I can
send an email from the earthlink web page, when logged in.

This could be the problem.
