The Quiet Rider is a hold over from when I had my VMax. It reduces noise
and helmet lift and I've not taken it off. I also find it actually improves
the ventilation on the Shoei by forcing the air through the chin/forehead
vents and out the back neck vent. It has a zipper at the chin that I could
open and get the bite valve through. Besides, for earplugs I have Sony
earbuds pluggged into my MP3 player!
Thanks to everyone else for the input, on and off-list. Much appreciated.

Eric
