Nick,

FWIW, I use a device called the 'Morgan Carbtune II'
(http://www.carbtune.com/), which has dispensed with the mercury, and now
uses s/steel 'floats' in the columns. HYPERsensitve (so the tubes are fitted
with restrictors to damp the oscillations). It worked well on my old T300
Trophy.

The only mercury poisoning I'm up for is from my teeth. (Just in case the
ToothFairy (Mike Bostock) is listening, that's only on the legacy fillings;
my man uses composite now! ~:)

Regards,
