Andy, from memory I'm 99%sure the system is available for the RS also.
Unfortunately their website seems to be down so I can't check for sure.

This isn't my bike and I have never seen the Triumph panel proctectors so I
can't really comment. I'd guess that a simple bracket could be made up to keep
throw overs off the cans and there is a reasonable amount of free play in the
system that may allow you to leave enough clearance for panel protectors.
