[ST] RE: st-digest V2002 #118

The spec front tire is a 120 (wide) 70 (high). I was thinking of changing
to a 120/60/17. This would lower the front end by 10mm, resulting in more
radical rake/trail numbers -- which should make for quicker steering. Has
anyone done this? Or has anyone increased the rear shock ride hight? Or has
anyone raised the forks in the triples by 10 mm? If so how does it affect
handling?

Right now I have the forks raised about 3mm above the tripleclamps, so I
could drop them down to stock or 1mm below and only change the numbers by
about 6mm.

Cheers,

The 70 is not the height, it is the percentage of the width. 120 X.70 = 84mm
high. 60 would equal 72mm high
