Re: [ST] Camera mount for bike



I designed a tank cam mount for my 35mm that a friend of Rude Dawg's built.
While it was designed for a 35mm still camera it should work for a video
camera as well as long as it isn't one of those jumbo Sony models.

I'm not sure if Jack still has some extras around, they were $70. They
mount using the three dummy screws on the gas cap flange.

An alternative I've seen is a very flexible system that uses suction cups
to mount an aluminum bracket. It is around $100 I think. It probably works
ok, but I haven't tried one. With a $3000 camera and an $800 lense, I just
wanted something more than suction cups holding it on.

You can look on my website and the photos from the last photo contest on
the ST website for examples taken using the bracket.
