Re: [ST] Passenger Comfort

Nope, even if you're the tooth fairy, I have to disagree. I tried an
intercom with the Lovely Ballast and she complained that I was talking too
much and keeping her awake :-)

Seriously, I think pillion comfort depends very much on how relaxed they
are. Another ST lister had serious complaints from his pillion until we
worked out that she was sitting waaay back on the seat and squeezing her
knees against him. She was so far back she could feel the seat latch
mounting bolts and he was pretty fed up with her knees digging into him.
Once she sat a little further forward, no problem.

The Lovely Ballast reckons the ST is the most comfortable bike she has been
on, better than the BMW R1100RT that we had for the Eastern Rallye, an old
Tiger, an R1100S and definitely better than dirt bikes! It must be
comfortable - her speed record for nodding off was about 120 mph in Germany.
I expect the RS would be just as good, since the seat and pegs are the same.
The seat-to-peg clearance might be a bit small for a tall pillion though.

And don't forget the Velcro to stick your dozy pillion on the seat ;-)
