I bought my Alpine Stars in 1985 when I went racing in AFM. I guess that
qualifies as pretty old. They are still in pretty good shape but I figured
after 17 years it was time for a new pair of boots. Replaced them with the
On Road Sympatex since having a waterproof boot with a lugged sole seemed
like a good idea for living in Ferndale. Lot's of rain, lots of cow poop.
