Depends on where you are.  Here in Sweden, (and I believe it's the same in
the UK), according to my owners handbook, failure to have the servicing
carried out by an approved Triumph workshop will invalidate my warranty.

The other thing to bear in mind of course is the advantage of having a fully
stamped dealer service history when you come to sell the bike.  You may very
well be capable of doing the servicing yourself to a very high standard, but
the person that buys your bike may not have as much confidence in your
abilities as you do.
