Re: [ST] Dashboard screw

You're onto something there. When I first read about the new Sprint ST in
'99 I was really taken by the idea of having a high performance sport tourer
with color matched hard luggage. Since then I became smitten with a
perceived mysticism about a British bike, the Triumph specifically, and when
I saw BRG as a new color for 2001 I knew it was only a matter of time.

My early outings on the bike though had shaken my confidence in the
decision. I questioned whether or not the ST would suit my style of riding,
especially as advanced in years and bulk as I have become (I'm 33 and could
stand to lose about 25 pounds). I like to tour long distances and tend to
pack a lot, including my girlfriend.

If we fast forward five months to the present day, I now feel the ST is a
kindred spirit. With a few mods, we've gotten much more comfortable
together. The more you ride a bike the more it reveals about itself much
the same way friends do as they grow older. The bike is developing
character and sometimes I'll catch myself just pausing and staring at it, as
if looking in a mirror. There is something mystical about this bike.

P.S. and this is a joke: Isn't it British steel and plastic? :)
